Lynx Hair Direction is a boutique hair salon. We want our clients to feel and look amazing. As a team of hair stylists with many years of experience between us, we hold ourselves to the highest standards in giving our clients great service in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Rich manages the behind the scenes operation of the business.

Penny Loves working in a creative, continuously changing industry.
Her career is all about making people look and feel good about themselves.
She enjoy's working alongside her dynamic team of outstanding hairdressers.
Outside of hairdressing her loves are family, good friends, her pets & gardening. Running a children's Sunday school is also always inspiring.

'Andrea joined the Lynx team in 2015. After many years hairdressing overseas and in Auckland moving back to the mount, which always felt like home, was always on her wish list.
A true loyalist to Redken she is a international certified Redken colorist and Redken certified balyage colorist.
'Andrea trained as a precision pivot point cutter and is confidently happy in all aspects of hairdressing especially when creating beautiful blondes.
She is the quiet calm presence at Lynx that strives for perfection in all her skilled aspects of hairdressing, while also taking care of all the unseen details of the salon.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her son and her partner

Antony Watchorn
Master Stylist
Antony, formerly from Antony Richards salon, has many years of experience both nationally and internationally.
Antony enjoys progressive hairstyling, he encourages change and healthy shiny hair.
Outside of work he enjoys photography and fishing.
Antony is confident in all aspects of hairdressing and enjoys telling a good story with a bit of cheek and lots of laughter.

Kamira TeRangi
(Karmz)
Master Stylist
Kamira trained under Penny at Lynx hair direction when they were down in the Mount & since has been in the industry for over 20 yrs. Karmz spent a number of years hairdressing in Australia & also owned a small salon. Looking for a change Karmz & her partner went to live in Bali before eventually deciding they wanted to move back home to Mount Maunganui to live.
She has a passion for hair and building people's confidence, which she does with her caring and generous nature.
Karmz is always smiling and chatty, with her beautiful heart & fabulous hairdressing skills she makes everyone feel special.
Outside of work she loves teaching yoga &, in her own time, study's Maori health (Rongoaa). She has a small side business making healing products called Ahi kaa collective.

Jazmin joined our team straight after lockdown finished in May 2020. She had already completed a 2yr full-time hairdressing course & a 1yr full-time beauty specialist course. Hairdressing is
her first choice for what she wants to do in life so she completed her final assessments & is now qualified. Jaz enjoys being creative, she is caring and compassionate and she loves to see people and their hair looking and feeling fabulous.

Ella is currently in her 2nd year of training . During her last year of college in 2021 she did work experiance with us. By the time she started full time in Dec 2021 she was very much a part of the Lynx team. Ella is loving hairdressing, a fast learner with lots of natural talent and creativity
